First Real Snow

This was the view out my window this morning. The first real snow this winter in Syracuse. Not counting the 2 times we got dusting that was gone by noon. We got snow after both Texas and California....there's some global warming for ya!

Pumpkin Carving

Ben and I actually tried to carve pumpkins this year. Mine was supposed to be the one on the right...I tried to make a stylized decorative rose design...which failed and turned into an impressionistic piece. So then I took over Ben's pumpkin and did his skull face while he worked on mine. All in all I think a rather successful carving session!

Halloween

Cersei has decided that she wants to be a Mummy Dog for Halloween! I guess now I should figure out a costume for myself.

I'm not really that in to dressing up anymore. Maybe when I get a house and have Halloween parties for my friends. But I do love pumpkins. By far my favorite part of the Fall season.

These are some of the new Gifts available at their store, using patterns I sold to them through Carr+Lamb Designs. I know what I'm getting everyone for Christmas!

Mixed Media Painting Series

Here are some of my new paintings. I've tried something new with layering paper on the canvas before drawing in designs and painting in details. I'm going to do a few more and then submit them to local restaurants and cafes that display artwork from local artists.

Hopefully things with these will work out and I'll get my name out while making some money in the process.

I Love ACEOs!

ACEO stands for "Art Cards Editions and Original", aka ATC "Artist Trading Card" and always measure 2.5"x3.5"

I've been doing ACEOs for the last few days. They are great! Mini affordable art that is relatively quick and easy to do. I love doing these cause they don't take me nearly as much time as it would to do a full painting.

Go out and make some ACEOs today!

1. "Love"

2. "Retro Swirl"
